2. T-Shirt Neckline (aka Jewel Neck) Wedding Dresses
A T-shirt neckline wedding dress features a high/ top-round neck that looks resembles the neck of a crew neck T-shirt (rounded shape, high neck). This type of round neckline sits at the bottom of the throat.
Suitable for: A wedding gown with a T-shirt neckline makes one appear more busty than they actually are. Therefore, wedding gowns with t-short neck looks best on women that have small or moderate-sized busts. If you’re very busty or have wide shoulders, this wedding dress neckline may not work for you (it will make you look puffy and bustier; you’ll appear generally bigger on top).
3. Round Neckline or Scoop Neck Wedding Gowns
A dress with a scoop neckline has a low-round neck that is cut to the shape of the letter “U’ or a semi-circle, or simply a wide-round neck. A scoop neck wedding gown has a rounded neckline that dips down below the neck, to show part of the chest-skin. T-shirt necklines and the scoop necks are similar in cut; the difference is that the scoop neckline is cut lower and deeper (sometimes, a wider round cut) than the T-shirt neck. In this type of neckline, the scoop cut deepens down towards the chest, while the T-shirt neck stops at the bottom of the throat.
Suitable for: Because of how these two types of round necklines are cut, a T-shirt neck wedding gown does not reveal any part of the chest while a scoop neck wedding dress shows some part of the chest. So, if you are not comfortable showing off more chest skin, this neckline is not for you – try the T-shirt beck style or other types.
