She paired it with a peach gele. 6, 7. Layefa x Lilian Afegbai Shoulder-Baring Maxi Dresses and Gele
Above left, makeup artist, Layefa wore a stunning floor-length one-hand plum colour aso-ebi gown featuring thigh-high split that showed off her beautiful leg skin. She finished the look with silver strappy heel sandals and a dusty rose gele pleated gele scarf. | Above right, in that pose, we can confirm that Lilian Afegbai didn’t come to play, wearing that plum off-shoulder straight long gown aso-ebi which she paired with a twisted fan gele heatie, a sparkly silver clutch purse and a multicoloured striped shawl in one hand.

The Aso-ebi Dress Code at #Bae2020 Wedding
Their wedding guest aso-ebi material was two types – a plum colour lave and a violet colour lace both featuring a touch of silver decoration details. The female guests’ dress code also included a dusty rose/ blush/ baby pink gele headtie for the female guests. The aso-ebi material for their male guests was a burgundy-with-blue striped cap (fila) and a plain wine coloured material which the men made into sharp senator suits, kaftans, and regal agbada styles.
About the Celebrants: Anita Adetoye and Emmanuel Ikubese
The bride is a celebrity makeup artist with A-list clients including Toke Makinwa and the groom is a Nollywood actor and a former Mr. Nigeria. It was a beautiful inter-tribal wedding – the groom is from Delta state and the bride is Yoruba. The bride, Anita, smiled all through the church wedding and she looked super stunning in her wedding gown. The groom also looked very well put together and was all shades of happy. Anita and her hubby were not the only ones that brought the fashion A-game to the wedding venue. Their celebrity wedding guests also served their red-carpet-like aso-ebi outfits. The bride was all smiles and looked stunning in her dress. She wore a white satin strapless flounced ball wedding gown that had a cute oversized back bow. Her hair was swept back in a half up/ half down wedding hairstyle, accessorized with bridal hairpieces. The groom wore a white jacquard 3-piece long tail tuxedo suit (tailcoat) with matching trousers and a shirt.
